How Can One Person Make an Impact?

We are each the author of our own story, everyday. If it is a bad day, put it to bed, and start fresh the next day.

A Positive Impact Through Smiles

Susie McBride understood the impact of positivity and always smiled, even when her pain was unbearable. Her legacy is to know, “We are all special, we all matter, and we all need to be there for our family, our friends, and our community.” A simple smile can change the trajectory, of not only your day, but of those around you.

We further the missions of other nonprofits and we engage kids in helping kids. A perfect way to honor Susie, and to make our community more focused and engaged in helping those who need a little comfort and support.

Through Susie Q’s Kids, we provide comfort to kids in need, a bag of comfort and smiles as children hug a panda bear, cuddle in a warm blanket, play with activity items, use hygiene products, sensory items, and on occasion, grief books.

Making a Difference

In recent months, we delivered goodies around town to help support campers: Kids on the Go, Camp Life, CARE of Southeast Michigan, St. Vincent De Paul Camp Ozanam, Aktive Minds Foundation, Children Hospitals, Care House of Macomb County, Grace Centers of Hope, Ennis Center for Children, CARE of Southeast Michigan, Play Place Autism Center, Centria Autism Center, Gilda’s Club, Big Family of Michigan, Turning Point, the list goes on. We are making a difference, “One comfort bag at a time.”

A recent delivery to the Lions Bear Lake Camp, during the week for blind campers, our helpers Luke and Grayson served sprinkles at the ice cream table and distributed comfort bags, panda bears, and blankets to all the campers. The campers extended their thumbs-up in gratitude. I hope you all enjoy the delivery and smiles these helpers and campers provided.

How Can You Help?

We gladly accept financial and in-kind donations, sponsorships to help support our program, engage business employees, and we welcome volunteers. The Sterling Heights Lions Club allows us to use their hall on the Second Monday of each month, at 6pm to create the bags, stop by and give us a hand.
